Illinois author Tom Emery will appear at the Macon County Historical Society Museum on Saturday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss his new book, “Moments in Lincoln’s Life”.
His latest work, “Moments in Lincoln’s Life”, is a compilation of fifty-seven articles with Lincoln themes that Emery has written in his career. Emery’s one-hour discussion will include such topics as Lincoln in New Salem and Springfield, Lincoln’s family and descendants, the Lincoln marriage, some of Lincoln’s associates including Richard Oglesby of Decatur, Lincoln at holiday time, and the assassination.
The book has been reviewed by several leading authorities statewide, including Dr. Wayne Temple of Springfield, who has been called “the greatest living Lincoln’ scholar”. Nathan Pierce, the executive director of the MCHS, also provided a review.
